Room 227 | Sunday Morning

Sam hadn't slept last night. Usually, that wasn't a huge deal since he tended to sleep alone but now that he was living with his girlfriend, it was kind of hard to hide that from her at the very least. He'd laid there for awhile and then he'd gotten up and puttered around the room and eventually went for a walk.

Look, he'd been trying hard to make sure those ghosts didn't appear at night, okay? It was either not sleeping or wearing the pouch and he chose...not sleeping. Because he was an idiot.

But, he was awake now. He had a bowl of cereal in front of him, his skateboard laying wheels up next to his hip and his back against the foot of the bed. A few records were near his feet and one of them was on the record player, filling the room with quiet music.

But hey, he hadn't been entirely unproductive this past weekend. He'd gone into town, gotten himself a job, and now he was eating cereal and was about to fix up his skateboard.

So, things...could be worse.

[Door closed, post open!]

"I am pretty smart."

Well, he thought he had at least above average intelligence even if his common sense was a little lacking sometimes. He sighed and chewed on his bottom lip.

"Also got two hands."

He could tease a little too.

"That's observant, but seems barely relevant," Natalie sighed, soothing the spot she'd nipped with kisses. "Enlighten me."

"I could...help myself out," Sam murmured, turning his head a little more towards her at those kisses. "Be my own best friend."

That was such a cheesy way to put it and he knew it.

"Figure it out myself."

That was a pretty cheesy way to put it, and Natalie snickered against his shoulder.

"Mm," she replied, kissing his cheek now that he'd turned his head. "Definite possibility, there."

"There are other possibilities? Enlighten me."

She should recognize those words.

[whenshewasnice]

She did. And snorted softly at hearing them. "Well, that option seems a little lonely..."

[necroslacker]

"Well, it seemed I had to wait till later to include you in any plans," he said, leaning back and smiling over his shoulder at her. "I didn't want to...make assumptions and all."

[And I'm off to see my dad!]

"I'm not sure waiting's necessary," Natalie told him, half smiling. "I can be included in plans now and later."

[Have a nice tiiime!]

"That's very noble of you, offering to accompany in my plans right now," Sam said, nodding oh so seriously except not. "i think you just wanna sleep with me because you can't resist me."

[whenshewasnice]

"I can resist you." There wasn't weird pollen in the air, so that was probably even true. She nipped at his neck again, breathing her words against his skin. "Sometimes I just don't want to."

"So, what exactly are you feeling right now?" Sam asked quietly, turning his head again so he could glance at her over his shoulder. "Anything I should know about?"

[whenshewasnice]

"The usual, same as always after we have an akward time," Natalie murmured. "Strong desire to be close to you to check nothing broke."

[necroslacker]

"You're pretty close to me right now," Sam pointed out, still quiet. "You wanna be closer?"

[whenshewasnice]

"Yes," she sighed, softly. "I think you know I do."

[necroslacker]

He'd kind of guessed that, yeah.

"How much closer?"

[whenshewasnice]

"I think you know that too." Tease. She nuzzled his cheek and his ear. "Weren't we just talking about it?"

"Were we?"

Of course they had been. He was gonna tease too though.

"Think I might need a reminder."

[whenshewasnice]

"Wow, you were lying when you said you couldn't think of anything else, then," Natalie replied, quiet, amused. "Went from possibly needing to help yourself to not even remembering awfully fast."

[necroslacker]

"Yep!"

Well no, he totally remembered but he was gonna play along if it meant he got to hear her say things she wouldn't normally say. That was fun for him.

Natalie was so on to him. Not particularly surprising, that. "Sex, Samhain," she murmured, shaking her head a bit at his clueless act. "The topic was sex. Sweaty and fulfilling, though I think that was more for later. We never really talked about what the earlier version should be."

"Oh, riiiiight," Sam said, acting like he was just cluing in. "Sex. I remember now."

He swallowed and looked back at her.

"What should the earlier version be?"

[whenshewasnice]

"What, you remember now?" Natalie teased, ignoring his question just to be evil. "Miracle."

[necroslacker]

"Maybe I just needed help with jogging my memory," Sam pointed out, sliding his fingertips over her arm. "And you helped me with that and I thank you very much."

[whenshewasnice]

"My pleasure." She sighed, and hid a smirk against his shoulder. "Maybe we'll cut a deal. You tell me what should happen now, and I'll detail what should happen in the evening for you."

"...I don't know what should happen now though," Sam admitted sheepishly. "I'm not really great at thinking on my feet like you are."

Not when his mind was focused on something broad and this required something specific.
