James was actually coming back down the hall with Haley behind him. When Haley spotted Natalie, she reached out and pulled James's arm. She didn't say anything but she knew that Natalie wasn't going to leave and she didn't want James to bother her.

So, she pulled at his arm and redirected him back towards the living room. James resisted for a moment but Haley gave him a look and James relented.

They left Natalie alone.
