room 216 ; wednesday afternoon
Sep. 28th, 2011 10:05 amJamie Madrox's class had been so weird today that Sam had immediately grabbed his board and gone out after it had ended. Maybe he just needed to get the image of his teacher dressed like a bird and the fact that he'd been pelted with fruit out of his mind. He hoped he didn't still smell like grapes.
The ride on his board had done him good...for the most part. It had let him settle down again and let him think about the fact that Ramon and Frank were actually planning on showing up here this weekend. He suspected they'd conned his mom into not coming and volunteered themselves in her place. Brid had apparently wanted to come too but Brannoc had put a stop to that with the excuse of not knowing anything about where Sam was.
Sam was partly relieved and partly sad. He missed Brid even if there were so many question marks surrounding them. And see, those were the thoughts that made Sam miss the drop in the boardwalk ahead. The boardwalk dipped, Sam lost his balance and the skateboard flew out from underneath him. Luckily, Sam caught himself on his hip when he went down. Unfortunately, that hurt and he was pretty sure he'd given himself yet another set of skateboard related injuries. No one would believe he was any good at this if they knew how often he banged himself up.
That had ended his ride and now he was back in his room, trying to bandage the scraped up, dirty and no longer bleeding spot just above his hip. The good thing was that it wasn't his elbows this time. The bad thing was that it still hurt. His first aid kit was getting a work out lately. Sam had turned some music on before he'd started the process of bandaging himself up so there was that.
His room wasn't a total hospital ward. He was doing better. Ish.
