room 216 ; sunday afternoon
Sam was doing a whole lot of nothing today. He'd missed a phone call from Brid earlier and his phone was resting on his chest in an attempt to force himself to return that call. It hadn't worked yet. For awhile, Sam had just stared at the ceiling while his thoughts bounced around in his head. When that hadn't worked, he'd read a book. Actually, he'd read the same line in the book for about fifteen minutes before he'd given up on that.
And then he'd amazingly fallen asleep. Sam didn't know if he'd fallen asleep just to get out of making that call or if he'd fallen asleep because he was tired but whatever the reason, it'd been good enough to get him out of returning the call for the moment. The phone was actually ringing again and Brid was the other end, determined to actually get Sam to pick up this time.
Alas, poor Sam, he was still sleeping.
[Door's cracked, post is open and if you want a weetiny to answer the phone, go for it.]
