abandoned makeout shack; wednesday evening
So, it was Natalie's first birthday with Sam as her boyfriend and Sam kind of wanted to make that a memorable experience for her. Of course, that had been before this week had come along, leaving everyone wanting to jump everyone else at a moment's notice. Sam went ahead with his plans though. He found his way down to the cabins, picked one and actually started filling it with books, trying to make it resemble a library of some sort. Then, he set up a small table and two chairs, complete with candle in the center.
The food, it was takeout, but it was still hot and Sam was in a suit (different from the one at the dance) that included a vest and that was rocking pinstripes. He'd been going for dinner in a library setting since he knew how much she loved books and while having dinner in an actual library wasn't happening, he had money, he could buy books and then give them all to her if she hadn't read them before. He'd lugged his record player down as well, giving them some softer music playing to add background noise.
Now, it would be a struggle to see if they could get through dinner but Sam would try. And he was currently waiting outside the cabin for Natalie since he'd had her meet him there so he could set up and surprise her.
[For the birthday girl only, please!]

They were big on being sensible gift-givers.

Not really but the knee socks on her would be intriguing.

Look, at least he'd admitted it, right?
"Like, if I just said 'stop picturing me just wearing a tie and nothing else' could you do that really fast?"
Yeah, that was just payback, Natalie.
no subject
"Unfair!"
Oh hey, he'd even managed to get an exclamation point out of her.
no subject
Going by that very dignified choking sound, she was.
no subject
"Obviously," she drawled.

Of course that move was on purpose. "I'm good."
no subject
"Yeah." Sam leaned back and started yanking his tie loose because two could play at that game. He didn't have cleavage but he had floppy hair that looked good messy (which is why he ran his hands through it) and he thought he looked particularly nice in a rumpled suit as well. "So am I."

Her gaze kept flicking to his neck and up to his hair, though. A lot. So, she didn't even say anything, just tilted her head and leaned forward a bit. Because he hadn't been staring at her chest enough yet, clearly.
This was nice and insane, wasn't it?
no subject
"What are we doing?" Sam asked her quietly because he pretty much knew what he wanted to do especially when his eyes were on her cleavage again.
no subject
She was trying not to go with that instinct. "It's not a very smart game."
no subject
A game, yes. So, Sam was just gonna keep playing by unbuttoning his suit back and tossing it aside. He unbuttoned the sleeves of his dress shirt and slid those up his forearms a bit but he left the vest buttoned and the tie loose.
It wasn't cleavage but he wanted to try and keep up with her, at least.

She settled on idly fiddling with her hair, letting a few long blonde strands come loose. Somehow it still fit the hairdo.

"You're gonna make me ruin your birthday." Or maybe make it better. He wasn't sure.
no subject
"Does that mean I won't get presents?"
no subject
They'd just come after he took off her clothes and did the hell out of her or something. That was such a dirty thought.
"Of course you'd get them."
no subject
"Then I'm not seeing what the problem is."
Hey, maybe if he took off her clothes and did the hell out of her or something, she'd be able to concentrate on something that wasn't his arms or his neck for a moment.
no subject
The dress shirt got pulled out of his pants so he could actually start to unbutton it because, well, because his skin was hot. Yeah, that's exactly the reason he was taking his shirt off right in front of her.
It wasn't to drive her insane or anything.
no subject
And she was standing her ground, staying seated and trying to look what passed for relaxed with her. Ignore that she wasn't even looking at his face right now.
no subject
Maybe he was doing it to drive her insane. But, when he slid the shirt off his shoulders and let it flutter down into his pile of clothing, insanity was the furthest thing from his mind.
His hands went to his belt down, slowly pulling it loose.
no subject
God, was she aware.
"That is the single most irritating thing you ever say."
