Yeah, so Sam had woken up with girl parts. Fortunately, he wasn't gonna have a screaming fit of surprise. Unfortunately, he was also contemplating just sleeping this weirdness away so he didn't have to deal with anything that might be coming at him from certain parties. Of course, this plan was hindered by the fact that he didn't really sleep at all in the first place and meant he was more just acting like a lazy ass instead of sleeping.

This body was weird. It was smaller and softer and there were...things that he was used to touching, not having. He was curious about what his back looked like, if he'd kept those scars or not but he wasn't so curious as to try and look.

Nope. Sam was in bed, swimming in his clothes and trying to keep his longer hair out of his eyes. This island had a crappy sense of humor sometimes. He didn't want to be a girl, he didn't know how to be a girl.

And now he was a girl. Sigh.

"Saaaam?" Toby singsonged assuming the post was open even if the door was not as he rapped at the door. "Are you in there?"

...He knew perfectly well you were in there, Sam.

The hard part about today was he couldn't tell who was out there, calling his name. He didn't recognize the voice at all.

"Uh." Oh wow, his voice was so different. "No?"

Well, he could try that though it'd fail with Toby.

"Nice try, buddy," Toby said with a snort. "It's Toby," he added helpfully.

"You don't sound like Toby," Sam pointed out, at least amused that he wasn't alone in this. "You sound like a girl."

So do you, Sam.

"You, on the other hand, still sound very manly," Toby retorted.

"Shut up," Sam groaned, pulling his sheet over his head. "The door's open if you wanna come in whoever you are. Shut it behind you though."

"I even brought breakfast," he announced as he made his way into the room, holding up and shaking a box of Lucky Charms. No milk, though, because pfft. Too much work. Or something.

Sam peeked out from underneath his blanket and peered at Toby and then the cereal. "Where's the milk?"

He was totally gonna make Toby explain himself just to avoid the whole girl thing a little longer.

"Probably still in the common room fridge?" Toby shrugged. "I grew boobs, not extra arms. I couldn't carry that much stuff and knock on your door, so. The milk was sacrificed."

"I don't know if I can allow you in without milk," Sam said, trying to joke a little. It was still the same with the new body and all. "Sacrilegious."

"Could be worse," Toby pointed out. "I could've brought orange juice."

"You think Lucky Charms is gonna make the whole girl thing a little better?" Sam asked, wondering if that would work or not.

"I dunno," Toby admitted with a shrug. "Thought it might, a little? I mean, sugar's a pick-me-up, right? And if that doesn't work, I'm sure we could raid a common room for some chocolate." Because, hey, girls and chocolate was kind of a thing, and maybe that translated even when the person in question was only a girl physical-appearance-wise.

There were people he just couldn't avoid. Natalie was onto the island by now. Checking up on him was mandatory, at this point.

She knocked on the door. "Sam?"

...of course she'd be knocking now. Sam winced and sighed all at the same time.

"Yeah?" Well, there was that voice again. He made a face.

Well, at least that made it easy enough to determine whether he'd been affected or not. She had no way of determining his mood from that, though.

"Can I come in?"

[necroslacker]

"Yeah," he sighed since it was fruitless to keep her from coming in. "Just don't be too alarmed at what you see or anything."

"I've seen girls before, Samhain," Natalie replied as she opened the door and slipped in. "Especially today."

One day, Sam was gonna ask her why she really seemed to like his full name. Not today though.

"Yeah, I'm not stupid, thanks, but I more meant me as a girl," he pointed out. "That's new."

It was just fun to say.

"And like I said," she replied, as she drifted closer to his bed, head slightly tilted, "I've already seen a lot of people in your condition today. Like half a dozen of them in a common room."

"And it's not different because it's me?" Sam asked, a little curious if she was classifying him in the same category as all other guys who looked like girls.

Natalie stopped right by his bed. "It's different." It was. It was weirder, too. Technically, she had a girlfriend right now. "But it's nothing to freak out over."

Not much, anyway. Not visibly.

"Do I look like I'm freaking out?" Sam asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm actually fine. Just...resigned."

"Nothing for me to freak out over," Natalie clarified. "You told me not to be alarmed, remember?"

"Right, right," Sam said, waving a hand and shrugging. "Congrats on not freaking out. I didn't expect you to anyway."
